SKY CABIN - ASHEVILLE, NC
10X17ft - Acrylic brush paint and some spray paint made from sugar cane.
Spent a few days up in the mountains just north of Asheville, NC painting a two story custom interior piece for a local realtor at the “Sky Cabin”
The idea was to bring dimension, movement and depth to a large blank wall in the main opening of the cabin.
This was my 1st attempt and using brushes to paint a geometric gradient piece and mixing all the colors for a custom palette, which was a really fun process that I think i’ll bring into my practice more often. I really want to work with more environmentally friendly paints, especially for interior project where people live and work.
The Sky Cabin was at the top of a beautiful rolling hills valley overlooking horse farms, rivers and creeks, so this piece had a nice contrast setting to say the least.
Special thanks to Tiffany Hargis for helping me create, collaborate and bring this piece to life <3
